Ibuprofen
About Ibuprofen
A nonsteroidal anti inflammatory drug developed by Boots Group in England. Ibuprofen treats headaches, muscle pain, arthritis, menstrual cramps, and fever. It works by inhibiting COX 1 and COX 2 enzymes. Ibuprofen is available over the counter and is one of the most used pain medications worldwide. It is generally safe but can cause stomach ulcers and kidney problems with long term use. Developed by Stewart Adams, who tested it on himself before a speech.
