About Tazobactam
A beta lactamase inhibitor combined with piperacillin as Zosyn. Tazobactam protects piperacillin from bacterial enzymes, extending its activity against resistant organisms. The combination is one of the most used intravenous antibiotics in hospitals worldwide.
