About Clomiphene
A fertility medication that stimulates ovulation. Clomiphene or Clomid treats infertility in women who do not ovulate regularly. It works by blocking estrogen receptors in the brain, causing increased FSH and LH production, which stimulates the ovaries. Clomiphene is the first line treatment for ovulatory infertility. It is inexpensive and taken orally. Multiple ovulation can result in twins or higher order multiples. The drug has helped many couples conceive.
