Edoxaban
About Edoxaban
A direct factor Xa inhibitor for stroke prevention in atrial fibrillation and treatment of blood clots. Edoxaban or Savaysa was the fourth DOAC to reach the market. Edoxaban is less effective in patients with very high kidney function, an unusual characteristic. Like other DOACs, it requires no blood monitoring. The drug provides another option in the increasingly crowded DOAC market, alongside rivaroxaban, apixaban, and dabigatran.
